Arc floor lamp is a revival of 1960s Italian forms with a postmodern twist. “Venus harkens back to Grace Jones in the ’80s vibe,” explains NYC-based designer Farrah Sit. Sculpted from solid Marquina black marble, sharp angular base is balanced by one continuous rod of blackened iron that softly arcs over the fixture. Using materials that are cool to the touch, Sit contrasts basic geometric shapes that reflect postmodern motifs. Honed marble is punctuated with crisp white veining that makes each fixture unique.
