A light source set flush into the white marble base glows upward into a highly polished, reflective shade in this table lamp designed by French-Caribbean design studio dach&zephir. Dimitri Zephir was inspired by the oversized tropical plants that flourish along rivers in Guadeloupe: “The brass shade is a direct interpretation of those leaves,” he says, “whereas the structure evokes movement and balance—as if the wind could make them move.” The polished unlacquered brass shade will develop a gorgeous patina over time, further adding to the lamp’s allure.
